The Circle of Mary is a group of parishioners united by the beads of Mary's rosary. They meet every Thursday evening at 10:15 p.m. in the Grotto beside the church. Many come a few minutes earlier to take part in Eucharistic Adoration under the God's heavenly evening sky.
The Blessed Sacrament remains throughout the evening as a Communion Service is held and all are invited to present any petitions they have for the evening as the rosary is recited.
Is there a more blessed way to end each Thursday evening? Please join the Circle of Mary, for one evening or for the rest of your life. Jesus and His mother Mary await you.
For any questions which you have about the Circle of Mary, please contact Deacon Frank Fikac at (830) 629-1726.
Selected Internet Rosary Sites
There are many wonderful sites on the Internet dedicated to the growing devotion of the rosary. You might want to visit these sites to see if they touch your heart.
Online Rosary Prayer--This site states the Mysteries which are being meditated upon today as Catholics around the world unite to pray the rosary. This site has options for you to pray either a guided or self-paced rosary with the Ave Maria playing in the background.
The Catholic Calendar Rosary Page--This site also will guide you through praying the rosary. You may select from either a frames or no-frames version. If you go to their Home page you will also find the readings for each day of the year and much more.
Article on the Rosary taken from Catholic Answers--This is the site you will want to visit if you want to find the background behind the rosary and behind each of the prayers said during the recitation of the rosary.
The Perpetual Web Rosary--This rosary website allows you to click on each bead as you pray each prayer and the Mystery for meditation and the words of the prayer appear before you. The amazing thing about this site is that this rosary is being said worldwide in the many languages of God's children, and the number of rosaries said are talled. As you finish, you will see your rosary added to the tally.
The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy
This is one of our newer prayer groups, but it is rapidly growing, just as praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet is quickly spreading throughout our world.
Join parisioners at 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening as they gather to pray The Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the prayer which Jesus Himself has asked us to pray. The group meets in the Family Room directly across from the Adoration Chapel. On your way home from work or before you begin your evening activities, consider joining us to recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
The CD, The Chaplet of Divine Mercy in Song, is used during the prayer time. When you leave, you will find that its peaceful words will travel home with you and reappear in your head at a later time. Come and add your voice to the voices of others asking for God's mercy upon us and on the whole world.
During this Lenten season you are urged to remember and pray the Novena of Divine Mercy. This novena will begin to be prayed throughout the world on Good Friday and will continue until Divine Mercy Sunday--the Sunday following Easter.
Click this link to go to EWTN so read about this novena and see the prayers which we are invited to pray. God bless you.
Watch for updates concerning our parish's celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday.
For questions about this prayer group, contact Dorothy Matschek at (830) 625-6623.

Our Prayer Cenacles
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
Could you not watch one hour with Me.

We are so blessed to have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in our parish. Anytime of the day or night on any day of the week a member of our parish is praying before our Lord in our Adoration Chapel. All are welcome and invited to come before Him with their prayers of thanksgiving or petition or just to sit in His precious presence. The Real Presence is a site which clearly explains Eucharistic Adoration and may answer any questions which you may have. We constantly welcome Adorers to join this ministry. If the Lord is calling you to come adore Him, contact Bob Besson at 624-7975 and she will add you to our Adorer Schedule. |

What is a prayer cenacle? How did they originate? When did they begin? What happens during a prayer cenacle? These may be questions which you have.
The Prayer Cenacle movement was formed in response to the request of the Blessed Mother that priests, religious and the faithful gather together, with her, in fervent prayer and fraternal love, as when the first apostles gathered with her in the Upper Room in Jerusalem awaiting the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Why this request? Because of the necessity to prepare for the Second Pentecost through the triumph of her Immaculate Heart. To draw down upon us the gift of the Holy Spirit, we enter with Mary into the cenacle. She asked that cenacles be formed everywhere in the world, thereby preparing humanity for a new era of grace and holiness. This movement has taken root all over the world with tens of thousands of cenacles going on around the clock. On May 8, 1972, Don Stefano Gobbi was taking part in a pilgrimage to Fatima and was praying in the Chapel of the Apparitions. He heard an interior voice urging him to have confidence in the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Fr. Gobbi gathered three priests for prayer and fraternal sharing in Italy. Notice of this first "Marian Movement of Priests" was posted in a few newspapers. By March of 1973, the number of priests had grown from 3 to 40. In 1974 the first Cenacles took place, and they have spread throughout Europe and every part of the world. By 1985 Fr. Gobbi had visited five continents. The movement has expanded in a silent and extraordinary way. During our prayer cenacle we
This takes about 45 minutes to an hour. It is truly a blessing to come together and pray. Will you join us? Come and pray and present your petitions to Our Lady for your needs and for those dearest to you, as well as for our troubled world. |
