Entrance Guidelines

Sts. Peter & Paul School is required to follow the age guidelines for school entrance set by the State of Texas:

  • A student must be 3 years of age on or before September 1 and potty-trained to enter the Pre-K 3 program.
  • A student must be age 4 on or before September 1 to enter the Pre-K 4 program.
  • A student must be age 5 on or before September 1 to enter Kindergarten.
  • A student must be age 6 on or before September 1 to enter first grade.

Records Required

For a child to be considered for acceptance into Sts. Peter & Paul, the following records must be submitted:

  • Original Birth and Baptismal certificate.
  • Complete immunization records must be provided prior to the student's first day of class.
  • Student's most recent report card is needed for students enrolling in grades 1–8
  • Standardized test scores are to be provided for students enrolling in grades 1–8
  • Student's Social Security number.
                                                                                                                       

Entrance Tests

Students in grades 2–8 may be asked to take an entrance test prior to acceptance at Sts. Peter & Paul School if current testing information is not available from their previous school. Students entering Kindergarten, who have not been in a Sts. Peter & Paul School Pre-K program, take a readiness test before acceptance is granted.
