Religious Education

Welcome

The Sts. Peter and Paul Religious Education program strives to respond to the Church's commission "to put people not only in touch, but also in communion and intimacy, with Jesus Christ (#80) and "to encourage a living, explicit and fruitful profession of faith" (#66) by promoting "knowledge of the faith", "liturgical education", "moral formation", "teaching to pray", "education fo rthe community life", and to "our missionary call" (#85-86) (from the General Directory for Catechesis).  We pass on the treasure we have inherited from Scripture and Tradtion in prayerful hope that the seeds we plant will yield a great harvest.

We offer a wide variety of programs to accomplish these goals. This past year nearly 1250 youth, (more than 760 in the elementary, 170 in the Junior High and 300 in the High School) participated in the programs and some 200 adults were participating in weekly studies. In addition parent sessions, Family Days, retreat opportunities and Vacation Bible School allowed many others take time to grow in our faith. We hope in the coming year you and your family can be part of the program in some way.
