Frequently Asked Questions

Question markWhat are some of the reasons I should choose Sts. Peter and Paul for my child?

There are many reasons to send your children to our school, including:

  • Superior academic achievement and success
  • Secure and disciplined learning environments
  • Spiritual growth and freedom to express the love of God at all times
  • Total education, safety and appreciation for morals and values

Question mark When is tuition due?

Tuition is due on the 1st day of each month.  For your convenience, your checking or savings account can be debited each month. See the Account Manager for easy set up procedures.

If tuition is received after the end of the school day on the 10th day of the month, a $25 late fee is added and invoiced to the home address.  If you are experiencing unusual or unforeseen circumstances, please contact the school office before the 7th of the month so that special arrangements can be made.

Question mark How do I register my child for YMCA Afterschool Care?

Afterschool care is available on-site, through YMCA.  For more information please call 606-9622 or visit their website at YMCA of Greater San Antonio & the Hill Country.

Question markI want to start earning my service hours for the year.  How can I do that?

We appreciate the time that our parents give to our school!  This year each family will be required to serve a minimum of 24 hours.  There are many flexible opportunities to meet that requirement.   Click here for more details.

Question mark

I still have questions about working my service hours.  Do you have any other information to help me?

Please refer to the Service Hour Frequently Asked Questions page.

Question markMy child has a birthday coming up.  Can I send birthday invitations to school?  How about cupcakes at lunch?

Invitations to a student's birthday party may be given out in the classroom only when you give an invitation to:

  • Every student in class, or
  • Every boy in the class, or
  • Every girl in the class.

If only a few students are to receive an invitation, they may not be handed out at School. This includes before School, during School hours, after School, sports practice etc.

Parents may send cupcakes or cookies on the day of the child's birthday, but no drinks or cakes please. Also, please do not send balloon-grams, flowers, etc. for delivery at school.

Question markHow will I know if the school is closed due to bad weather?

Listen for OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE ON TV and RADIO STATIONS. The Archdiocesan Schools Office makes the decision to close Catholic Schools when the weather is bad throughout the Archdiocesan area.  Please note:  You might hear our school specifically mentioned during official announcements of school closings, or if the New Braunfels School District closes, then we will also be closed.
