Quick Facts

History:  Fr. Menzel founded Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at its current location in 1849 and the school began in 1871 by the Sisters of Divine Providence.  It has been in continuous operation since!

Admissions & Enrollment:  Sts. Peter and Paul serves students from pre-kindergarten (age 3) through 8th grade.  The school is well-recognized in the community for providing students with spiritual development and academic excellence.  Sts. Peter & Paul is open to students of any race, color, religious denomination or ethnic origin.

Accreditation:  The Accreditation Commission of the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department recognizes Sts. Peter & Paul School as an Accredited School. The Texas Catholic Conference Accreditation Commission is the official accrediting agency for Catholic Schools of Texas. The Texas Education Agency recognizes it as such.  The Texas Catholic Conference last visited Sts. Peter & Paul School in October 2004.

Cafeteria Program:  LA Caterers provides lunch choices.  A snack bar with milk and juice is also available.  A lunch account can be established, or students can pay daily.

Extended Day Care Program:  An on-site after school extended day care program is available (for an additional cost) through the YMCA for students attending Sts. Peter and Paul.  The program is available from 1 pm - 6 pm each school day.

Children using science labFacilities:  The school features fifteen classrooms plus a complete science lab, state of the art computer lab, art room, air-

conditioned gym, well-equipped library and playground.

Technology:  A strong emphasis is placed on technology and computer even from the pre-kindergarten level.  Students will learn age-appropriate applications that integrate into the core curriculum.
