Faith Formation


Through our baptism, we are all called to ongoing lifelong Faith Formation. Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church offers many ways to deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.  For more information, call the Faith Formation Office at 830-625-4531.

Adult Confirmation
Adults who are baptized and active in their faith but haven't yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Contact Sr. Sheeja at 830-625-4531 ext. 216 or via email.

Baptism Preparation
Parents seeking baptism for their children under the age of 7, please call the Faith Formation Office 830-625-4531 for Mary Kravec or email.

Children's Faith Formation (PreK4-5th Grade)
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church welcomes all children and youth, baptized or not, to participate in the catechetical program. Middle School Ministry (6th-8th Grade)

Life Teen High School Youth Ministry (9th-12th Grade)

Young Adult Ministry
Connecting young adults (college and beyond) to Jesus, the mission of the Church, and a community of peers through Bible Study and more. Contact Angela Schwab 830-625-4531 ext. 274 or via email for information.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
For those seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith and/or to become fully initiated into the Catholic faith tradition through the sacraments. OCIA is for adults but is also adapted for children age 7 - 17 who have not been baptized. Contact Sister Sheeja 830-625-4531 ext. 216 or via email for additional information.

Adult Formation and Bible Studies
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church offers scripture study programs to help you explore Biblical Teachings. If you are interested in attending a bible study or hosting a faith sharing group, please contact Sister Sheeja 830-625-4531 ext. 216 or via email.

As a volunteer with Sts Peter and Paul Parish, the USCCB (United States Council of Catholic Bishops) and the Archdiocese of San Antonio require all volunteers to complete the following: These must be completed every three years. 

  •    Submit to a Criminal Background Check
  •    Read and electronically sign/acknowledge the Code of Conduct
  •    Complete the Protecting God’s Children online training module
  •    Complete the Sexual Harassment online training module
  •    Complete the Vulnerable Adults online training module

These requirements can all be completed using the VIRTUS Online link.

 

Keep in mind that you must answer “YES” to the question - Do you participate in a ministry with vulnerable adults or bring Holy Communion to the sick, homebound, and/or elderly?
